National Power Parks Management Company Private Limited was established in 2015 and entrusted with the task to inject 2400 MW into the national system through its own resources.
The company immediately took up the task and established two state of the art Re-gasified Liquid Natural Gas (RLNG) based Combined Cycle Power Plants; 1223 MW CCPP at Balloki, District Kasur and 1230 MW CCPP at Haveli Bahadur Shah, Jhang. These state of the art plants are providing affordable electricity to the national grid owing to their unparalleled latest technology and high efficiency. Haveli Bahadur Shah began combined cycle commercial operations on 9th May, 2018 and Balloki achieved Combined cycle COD on July 29th 2018.
Engineering Procurement & Construction (EPC) contracts for both the projects were awarded in the last quarter of 2015 and Operation and Maintenance (O &M) contracts for both plants were awarded within 18 months of ground-breaking.
