Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 2 years in a business partnering capacity.
- Experience in the not-for-profit sector is a distinct advantage.
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and relationship-building skills. Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies that drive results. Proficient in HR systems, data analysis, and reporting.
- Track record of successfully managing change and rolling out organizational initiatives.
Jobs Responsibilities:
- Manage HR operations, ensuring efficient payroll processing, benefits administration, compliance with labor laws, maintaining accurate HR systems and records, and conducting periodic audits for operational efficiency. Oversee accurate payroll processing, efficient employee records management, and seamless benefits administration, including timely handling of medical aid and provident fund documentation. Drive the full recruitment cycle, encompassing job postings, candidate shortlisting, interviews, and the preparation and issuance of employment contracts to secure top talent.
- Oversee onboarding and off-boarding processes, including IT setup, induction packs, maintaining up-to-date job descriptions, conducting exit interviews, fulfilling personnel policies, and notifying health and provident fund suppliers in a timely manner.
- Administer performance management systems, including conducting probationary and periodic evaluations, identifying training and development needs, and ensuring the effective implementation of appraisal systems. Provide comprehensive support in employee engagement, including addressing grievances, managing disciplinary actions, and promoting employee welfare, to foster a fair, inclusive, and equitable workplace environment. Implement and ensure consistent application of HR policies in line with organizational objectives and South African labor laws, keeping employees informed of policy changes and ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards. Foster a positive work environment by implementing engagement strategies, conducting surveys, and facilitating conflict resolution. Identifies gaps, proposes and implements changes necessary in people management, assists the change management projects, and manages internal and external human resource communication. Gathers and analyses HR data, including but not limited to recruitment timelines and employee turnover, and compile monthly HR reports for the Global HR while contributing to strategic HR planning and improvements.
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, including consultants and service providers.
- Partner with global affiliates to adapt and implement organization-wide HR policies and initiatives.
