Associate Professor Biochemistry-Karachi

Biological and Biomedical Sciences, Medical College, The Aga Khan University                Qualification:

• PhD or equivalent qualification in Biochemistry or related field, preferably with a medical degree       

Experience:

• 5 years of experience as Assistant Professor with demonstrated scholarship of teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels, supervision of M Phil / PhD students, and independent research in a defined area of focus evidenced through publications, grants, presentations and established research collaborations nationally and/or internationally.                                                                      

Jobs Responsibilities:

• active participation and contribution towards development of multidisciplinary / collaborative research projects of translational value. leading research groups;
• national and international grants acquisition and publications.
• facilitation of research in the department, supervision and mentorship of graduate students (MPhil and PhD), and training and mentorship of department junior faculty members for capacity development in research,
• teaching of biochemistry to undergraduate medical (MBBS), MPhil, PhD and in other academic programs of the department and the institution.
• designing and development of innovative teaching methodologies.
• participation in curricular renewal exercises, and in other scholarly activities.
