Data Network Engineer-Muscat, Oman

• Any Graduation with relevant vendor certifications such as Cisco or Fortinet are preferred. CCNA level certification as a minimum required. CCNP level preferred, CCIE is a plus

Experience:

• 7 to 13 years including 7+ Years in Large Scale Network and collaboration System Design, Implementation, Site Supervision and Commissioning.
• Extensive experience with Juniper portfolio including JUNOS, EX switching and SRX firewall and Palo Alto Networks firewall.
• Experience with various Cisco platform and technologies such as Cisco Catalyst Switches, Nexus Switches, ISR and ASR Routers, UCS, ACI, DNA, Firepower Next-Generation Firewall
• Experience with IP telephony and collaboration from different vendors and Experience in working with cabling infrastructure vendors.
• Experience with various network monitoring tools such as Nagios, SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, Syslog, packet capturing (Wireshark), NetBrain, network load testing, and application performance and Experience in working with Cisco Commerce Workspace.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expert working knowledge of networking protocol such as TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, etc. as well as routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, etc. Expert working knowledge of LAN switching including VLANs, VLAN aggregation, LAG, LACP, VRRP, PVLANs, Spanning Tree, MST, 802.1X, 802.1Q.
• Expert working knowledge of firewall and security technologies including IPSEC/SSL VPN, ACL, App & User-ID, and firewall management tools.
• Working knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, Xen, Oracle. Relevant certification is a plus.
• Proficient Pc Skills Including Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Project and Presentation Software, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
• Experience in working with Cisco Commerce Workspace
