• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, Urban Design, or a related field.

Experience:

• 5–10+ years of professional experience in architectural design and planning, with a portfolio demonstrating residential and commercial projects. Proven experience in securing planning permissions and working with developers or planning consultants.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite. Familiarity with 3D massing and site planning tools; GIS experience is a plus. Working knowledge of local planning laws, building codes, and residential typologies (e.g., apartment schemes, townhouses, commercial layouts).

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design & Planning Leadership: Lead the preparation of master plans, feasibility studies, concept designs, and site layouts for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. Design and optimize building massing, unit typologies, parking strategies, and amenity planning in line with client briefs and local regulations. Develop architectural planning schemes that balance design quality with density, viability, and planning policy.
• Project Coordination: Conduct zoning and site analysis, assess planning risks, and provide design solutions that maximize site potential while ensuring compliance. Coordinate with internal design teams, urban planners, engineers, and consultants to integrate technical and planning inputs into early design phases. Manage planning timelines, deliverables, and application requirements for outline, detailed, or full planning submissions.
• Client & Authority Engagement: Liaise with clients, developers, planning consultants, and local authorities to advocate for the design intent and secure approvals. Present design strategies and planning schemes to stakeholders, including at design review panels or public consultations. Prepare and manage all supporting documentation for planning applications, including design and access statements, planning reports, and presentation materials.
• Documentation & Quality: Ensure drawings and documentation meet high graphic, technical, and regulatory standards. Maintain accurate records of planning decisions, authority feedback, and changes to site constraints or project briefs. Coordinate with visualization and marketing teams to prepare compelling design narratives and visuals.
