- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering discipline.
- Candidates having relevant local of foreign certifications (NEBOSH IGC or IOSH or ISO Lead Auditor etc.) will be preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in the oil & gas sector.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Able to assist in implementation of Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Management System in compliance with local regulations and industry best practices.
- Capable of developing suitable safety inspection plans, conducting job observations and organizing safety committee meetings.
- Skilled in incident investigation for identification of root causes, analyzing incidents data and monitor corrective actions to minimize injuries and recurrence of incidents.
- Capable of preparing monthly HSE performance reports and equipped with data analysis tools.
- Able to guide the staff on HSE matters including hazard identification & risk control, environmental aspect impact analysis, play active role in reducing Lost Time Injury Frequency (LTIF), Process Safety Events (PSEs) and Environmental Spills.
- Able to promote employee’s engagement in safety initiatives through awareness sessions, meetings, seminars, HSE celebrations.
- Ensure effective maintenance of fire, health, safety and environment equipment by through regular inspection / monitoring.
- Capable of coordinating and ensuring implementation of permit to work, waste management and risk assessment for plant operations.
- Prepares and administer emergency procedures in case of accident or fire etc.
