Qualification:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in generator maintenance and repair in a commercial or industrial setting. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals to accurately diagnose and repair issues. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work with various hand and power tools. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues. Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus to cater to diverse client bases.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Repairs: Perform routine maintenance on generators, including oil changes, filter replacements, and checking system components such as batteries, belts, and hoses. Troubleshooting: Identify mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques to determine root causes. Installation: Install and configure new generators and electrical systems, ensuring proper setup and adherence to safety codes. Testing: Run tests on generators to check for operational efficiency, including load testing, voltage checks, and safety protocols. Parts Replacement: Replace or repair faulty components, such as alternators, starters, wiring, and fuel systems. Conduct thorough diagnostics on generator systems to identify mechanical and electrical issues, ensuring prompt and accurate repairs. Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities, providing insights for future troubleshooting and operational improvements. Collaborate with electrical engineers to integrate generator systems into larger power generation setups, ensuring seamless operation. Respond to emergency service calls, demonstrating quick problem-solving skills to minimize downtime for clients. Perform load bank testing to ensure generators operate at optimal performance under various load conditions. Utilize diagnostic tools and software to assess generator performance and troubleshoot issues effectively.
