- High school diploma or a technical training certificate in industrial equipment maintenance or similar field is required.
Experience:
Minimum of one year of experience performing mechanical systems maintenance is required. Ability to perform mechanical work, troubleshooting and conducting repairs as necessary using standard materials, instruments and tools is required. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally is required.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnoses and troubleshooting of equipment.
- Conduct repairs, rebuilds and installation on a wide variety of mechanical and other industrial equipment including compressors, pressing machines, boilers, cranes, forklifts, water pumps, lifting jacks, machine tools, test benches, sandblasters, sweepers, cleaning machines etc. Prepare hand sketches for various mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repair and installations using charts, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and past experience.
- Perform all required periodic equipment servicing and respond to emergency calls.
- Comply with all safety, housekeeping and environmental directives.
- Ensure all issued tools, uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is accounted for, maintained and secured.
