Qualification:

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics or transportation is a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in heavy-duty driving, ideally within the freight or logistics sector.
• Valid heavy vehicle driver’s license and a clean driving record with no major violations. Familiarity with GPS systems and mapping software to navigate efficiently and effectively.
• Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
• Strong communication skills, fluency in English is essential; additional language skills are a bonus.
• Proven track record of reliability, punctuality, and professionalism in a driving capacity.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods to designated locations, adhering to traffic regulations and safety protocols.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify and address any mechanical issues, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery schedules to optimize route efficiency and accountability. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to provide updates on delivery status and resolve any potential issues promptly.
• Stay informed about road conditions, traffic patterns, and weather forecasts to adjust routes as necessary for optimal delivery times.
• Manage and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the vehicle, ensuring it is presentable and operational at all times.
