Law Officer (OG-3) State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Karachi

For Legal Services Department. State Bank of Pakistan, Karachi      Qualification:

• LLB from HEC recognized institutions or from a reputable foreign university.    

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant field/ legal affairs. Incumbent must be fully conversant with drawing up and reviewing contracts, negotiations and notifications relating to autonomous bodies like SBP and analyzing, interpreting and formulating opinion on points on law.       
• Working knowledge of MS Office. Sound knowledge of relevant national / international laws relating to international treaties. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.                                                                              

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with various functions of the Bank and its subsidiaries on corporate, labour and banking related matters as well as matters pertaining to litigation in these areas and Should be able to draft and vet agreements and contracts executed by the Bank and its subsidiaries.
• Should be well versed with the inquiry process conducted against workers and officers under the applicable laws.
• Provide legal views on any circulars, directives and documents that are to be issued by the Bank and its subsidiaries both internally and externally.
• Draft and Vet documents, pleadings, petitions prepared by outside Counsel and liaise with them closely during litigation / other Court proceeding.
