  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Developmental / Communication Studies, Mass Communication / Public Relations or equivalent                      

Experience:

  • At least five years’ experience in public, private or NGO-sector organizations with involvement in fundraising or donor-related activities with a successful record of resource mobilization while working for an international development agency is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience of producing fundraising and donor communications materials and demonstrated resourcefulness and creativity in developing new story ideas and resource mobilization strategies. superior communications skills, including internal and external communication, and managing community and government relations.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office package. excellent writing and communication skills in English is mandatory while working knowledge of Dari, Pashto, Urdu and/or French would be an added advantage   

Job Responsibilities:

  • Research fundraising opportunities and write grant applications to potential corporations and build relationships with major donors or companies and make presentations as required.
  • Manage information and record the profile and fundraising activity of donors on a database. ensure that the fundraising targets for the year are met, and devise and organize fundraising events. formulate a comprehensive resource mobilization strategy that includes an overview of the situation, an analysis of past fundraising experience, explores future opportunities and strategies, details workflow processed and mechanisms for contribution management and outlines a time-bound action plan (with key responsible focal points) to systematically research and raise funds for key FMIC results. update the RDC of the donors’ interests, priorities, funding windows and actions that should be taken to mobilize funds and develop and maintain relationships with donors. develop required fundraising materials to secure funding and raise the profile of key FMIC outcomes. develop and carry out an action plan that outlines clear timelines for the actions proposed. lead FMIC’s fundraising/ resource mobilization in support of its current and future initiatives. implement FMIC’s fundraising/ resource mobilization strategy for individual and corporate donors with support from management and RDC. spearhead the communications functions and lead the drive towards organizational visibility, public relations and reputation management. lead the marketing function of FMIC while ensuring corporate client relations and engagement.
