- Computer Science / Information Technology / Networking / Telecommunications from reputable University.
- Cisco Certification required: CCNP or above – Routing & Switching (Valid Score
Experience:
- Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS). Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model. Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools.
- Good command on routing protocols / MPLS / Switching network design, and its O&M.
- Network monitoring tools configuration and administration.
- Strong understanding of Switching and Routing techniques / standards. Proven hands-on network engineering experience.
- Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers.
- Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Configuring and troubleshooting various network devices and services (e.g., Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Load balancers, VPN, QoS) in the IP core network.
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining the IP Core Network. Analyzing network traffic to identify and resolve performance issues. Managing network capacity and ensuring scalability of the IP Core Network.
- Ensures routine preventive and corrective maintenance to improve service node uptime and network target KPIs. Monitors network operations and takes proactive measures and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning. Provides root-cause analysis for any network or customer-related issue and implements corrective actions.
- Performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations and ensuring network security and implementing necessary security measures.
- Provides expert level troubleshooting for network hardware faults, Ethernet links faults, routing issues.
- Performs analysis of network needs as per business projection and provide strategic inputs on network design and technical documentation
