ID: 272492                                                                                  As Research Assistant you will join a highly experienced, skilled, diverse, efficient, innovative, and international credit research team based in Frankfurt, Paris, Milan, Madrid, London and Stockholm.                                                                    Qualification:

  • Degree level in a relevant business field. Actuarial or accounting background, or CFA qualification would be a plus.

Experience:

  • Numerate and accurate with figures and detail-orientated, with ability to maintain accuracy whilst complying with potentially tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) with fluent or highly business proficient language skills in English French and Italian. Further Southern European languages are a plus.
  • A highly motivated team player who can work autonomously in a global, multi-cultural and fast pace environment with strong organizational skills and execution mind-set.
  • First experience in an analytical position or experience in the insurance industry and good understanding of capital markets.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Ability to use database or programming languages a plus

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Analytical excellence: As part of a highly skilled analytical team you support the credit analysis for a complex portfolio of mostly Western and Southern European insurance companies and their financial market instruments. You may also work in second industry (Sovereigns/Public Finance or Financial Institutions) depending on business needs.                                                 
  •  Surveillance: Joining and preparing review meetings for all insurance companies assigned in line with our surveillance standards. You will contribute to portfolio reviews as part of your assignment.
  • Publications: Helping to publish high quality and forward-looking rating reports and thought leadership sector research. In addition, you will support keeping our sector benchmark Insurance Industry & Country Risk Assessment (IICRA) reports up to date.
  • Customer Service: You help the team providing service excellence to different stakeholders, including adding value to management meetings with rated insurance companies, as well as preparing investor and other key stakeholder meetings.
