• Bachelor’s degree in Law

Experience:

• At least 3 years of demonstrated experience working in a Law firm or managing legal and governance aspects of the company. The personnel should be registered at the bar and is allowed to practice law in South Africa
• Required Skills: Ability to understand local country’s laws and regulations and translate in simple manner to Governance Committee and/or Board Members.
• Excellent writing skills to draft policies and agreements. Good experience with IT systems and other software

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist with reviewing donor contracts. Draft contracts when required. Research donor regulations i.e., each donor-specific regulation and advise the department.
• Maintaining the contracts team agreements database, implementation, and record management. Assist in drafting new contracts template in line with international law relevant to IRD areas of work.
• Proficiency in using IRD’s Contract Management System. Coordinate with relevant departmental to ensure statutory requirements are promptly addressed in a lawful manner and progress is monitored at periodic intervals.
