Senior Research Assistant Bioinformatics-Karachi

For Pediatrics & Child Health-Karachi Medical College, The Aga Khan University          Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree. Master’s will be preferred 

Experience:

• At least one to two years of relevant experience. Some work experience on Linux command line  strong software skills, preferably with fluency in Unix scripting, Python, or R 
• Ability to build need-based new pipelines/algorithms supporting NGS-related projects with strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively be used in writing papers and research grants 
• Prior knowledge and/or strong interest in Bacterial genomics and multi-OMICs is highly appreciated     
• Strong MS excel skills for transforming results in form of tables                                 

Job Responsibilities:

• Carry out Analysis of multi-OMICS data (Genomics, Transcriptomics, Proteomics, Metabolomics) and be Able to use computational / bioinformatics infrastructure effectively     
• Develop and conduct regular training of LHWs and CHWs prepare and present weekly project-related activity reports.
