- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Supply Chain Manager, with a focus on the dairy industry. At least 2 years of experience working in Iraq, with a strong understanding of the local market and regulatory environment.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (both written and spoken) is mandatory with Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities and Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supply Chain Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of the supply chain strategy for the business unit, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. Operational Leadership: Oversee the overall performance of the supply chain management function, including planning, procurement, warehousing, transportation, and customer service, to achieve sales targets within the business unit. Standardization and Compliance: Ensure standardization and consistency of functional policies, systems, and controls across all supply chain operations, in line with finance policies. Performance Management: Implement appropriate measures of functional performance for the supply chain team, in line with supply chain and HR guidelines. Inventory and Procurement Management: Determine and apply appropriate inventory norms and procurement strategies for raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods, aligning with working capital goals and customer service objectives (considering risk factors in the operating country). ERP and Systems Implementation: Ensure the implementation and effective use of relevant supply chain ERP modules/systems to record and manage transactions. Operational Excellence: Drive excellence in all supply chain operations by reviewing systems, processes, skills, infrastructure, and performance against targets and benchmarks. Logistics Optimization: Optimize freight and logistics for the business group through centralized planning and logistics units, including the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods. Performance Targets: Set and achieve key performance targets for planning, procurement, warehousing, transportation costs, and other operational performance metrics.
