Experience:

  • 3+ years’ experience in maintaining books of account, preferably in an IT company.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Tally ERP ( vlookup, hlookup, countif, sumif, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Skills: Good English verbal and written communication skills and Excellent understanding of various fundamentals and concepts of bookkeeping and accounting with Good knowledge of MS Office.
  • Working knowledge of Income Tax and VAT laws in Mauritius.  

Jobs Description: 

  • Maintaining accounting processes of a predetermined set of Business Units/Products/Expense Categories.
  • Passing accounting entries (journals, debit notes, credit notes, receipts, payments).
  • Ensuring correct bookkeeping in compliance with accounting & tax laws.
  • Payments disbursement on multiple payment platforms, ensuring proper docs & approval. Processing and reviewing reconciliation statements (Bank, Debtors, Creditors and ledgers).
  • Debtors management and Ageing analysis.
  • Payments disbursement on multiple payment platforms after verifying & approval from Management.
  • Updating the payments made to customers on the online interface. Handling employee reimbursement and ensuring timely payment of the same.
  • Reply to queries if any from the employee within TAT.
  • Monthly reconciliation of advances made to creditors.
  • Independently handling various audit queries like Statutory Audit , Internal Audit etc.
