AKU Department of Biomedical Science, Aga Khan University, Kenya Qualification:
- Medical degree or a good honours degree in Human Anatomy or related discipline with Postgraduate degree in Human Anatomy or other relevant subject.
- Accomplished teaching of Human Anatomy in an undergraduate medical program (or similar) using evidence-informed interactive approaches for large and small groups and incorporating information technology and Teaching postgraduates and undergraduates in programs other than MBChB, BSc Nursing or equivalent.
Experience:
- Experience in educational management that ensures well-organized delivery with continuous quality improvement with Track record of publications in international journals.
- Teaching Gross Anatomy and providing academic advice and support to Medical College as well as School of Nursing and Midwifery (SONAM) students.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Contributing to curriculum development and innovation in teaching, learning and assessment in Human Anatomy and working closely with colleagues to create an effective integrated curriculum.
- Contributing to the regular evaluation and development of blocks that include Human Anatomy in terms of content, delivery and assessment.
- Developing proposals for research funding and presenting academic papers in conferences/ seminars/ workshops/ symposia.
- Contributing to scholarship in medical education or other areas of inquiry within the Medical College and the School of Nursing and Midwifery (SONAM) in collaboration with colleagues
