  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field    

Experience:

  • 3 to 4 years work experience in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in an ECD environment would be an added advantage. Must have a valid unendorsed driver’s license with driving experience of more than 2 years.
  • Well versed in using Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.              

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates abilities to work effectively in a culturally diverse environment with excellent verbal and written skills in English and IsiZulu or a local language spoken within the community.
  • Maintains a strong working relationship with the project’s management, technical leads, and other field staff.
  • Guide and support playhouse staff and carry out performance reviews as per set rules.
  • Ensures high-quality facility standards including program assessment and monitoring of service deployment as per SOPs.
  • Conducts regular team meetings amongst field staff, case reviews, and consultation meetings which include written agendas and meeting minutes.
  • Ensures playhouse learning, meeting, and counseling areas meet the standards of the project.
  • Lead the team in thinking together, solving problems, and making sure the center follows programmatic rules, including safety and legal requirements.
  • Intervene with suggestions and corrective measures when co-workers are displaying practices that are not adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates special events in consultation with the Project Manager and technical teams at the playhouse and neighboring sites, including but not limited to ECD interventions, health interventions, or other.
  • Ensures required paperwork and reports from field staff are submitted in a timely manner; including Community Worker and Lay Mental Health Counselor forms, administrative and operational logs, and other.
  • Develops, maintains, and reviews a daily system of communication to staff and other visitors (including caregivers of children attending the playhouse) to ensure clarity and consistency around playhouse practices.
  • Practices and ensures that food service guidelines, including nutritional components of meals served, meet the established written policy and procedures and are in-line with the nutritional guideline policies.
  • Maintain centre inventory of supplies and materials and ensure that all inventory items are replenished timeously.
  • Monitors the centre’s environment and proactively takes actions to ensure the centre is clean, presentable to clients, and meets requirements. 
  • Tracking and ensuring recording of field vehicle logs, nutrition logs, and other equipment
