Deputy Director (Infrastructure) -Nadra, Islamabad

National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), Islamabad              Qualification:

• Bachelor’s (4 Years) in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Information Technology/Telecom or equivalent.
• Minimum 16 Years of HEC verified education is a must.
• Master’s degree in related field will be preferred.
• Degrees must be attested by HEC. 
• Any professional certification in Linux and/or Virtualization will be preferred.     

Experience:

• Minimum 6-10 years of experience in system storage, virtualization, backups recovery, Linux and Unix. 
• Proven expertise in virtualization technologies, including deployment, administration, and optimization of VMware, vSphere and KVM-based environments. 

Jobs Responsibilities:

• Design, plan and implement scalable and secure IT infrastructure architecture. Ensure that the infrastructure is optimized for performance to meet organizational requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation of the infrastructure design, configurations, procedures, and operational guidelines (including servers, software-defined storage, switches connectivity, virtualization, OS, application deployment, etc.).
• Implement robust security measures to protect the organization’s data and infrastructure from cyber threats (including defining access controls, encryption policies, monitoring solutions, and incident response procedures). Oversee backup and recovery operations, including data integrity checks and restoration testing.
• Excellent technical knowledge of CIFS, NFS, Object Storages, S3, Linux, Unix, bash scripting automation tool like Ansible/chef, Windows, Webservers, DNS servers, virtualization including VMware, KVM Openshift, CI/CD, kubernates, Backup & Restore software’s etc.
