By a well reputed organization, Karachi Qualification:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in supply chain, business admin, commerce or related field
Experience:
- Minimum 5 – 7 years of relevant experience in import operations preferably in manufacturing or logistics field
- Hands-on experience with GD filing and container clearance is mandatory
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing and managing all imports related activities of the organization, including documentation, regulatory compliance, coordination with clearing agents, shipping lines, customs authorities and internal departments
- Ensure timely and cost efficient clearance of import consignments, accurate filing of GDs and adherence to all customs and governmental regulations
- Supervise and manage end-to-end import container clearance from port to warehouse and monitor container movement, demurrage / detention timelines and take preventive actions
- Prepare and file Goods Declaration (GD) in WeBOC for all import consignments and review import documents (BL, Invoice, Packing List, COO, Form E, HS code classification, etc.
- Close coordination with bank, LC handling, tax exemption regimes.
- Strong knowledge of WEBOC, PSW and Monitor Cost Control
