By Institute of Business Administration, Karachi Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an HEC recognized institute.
Experience:
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in similar position, working for mid/large-scale projects.
- Skills: Written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear reports for conveying complex information in a simple way to a diverse range of people. Able to use technical skills to read and interpret electrical schematics, design electrical systems and troubleshoot electrical problems.
- Technical skills are essential for an assistant electrical engineer to have, as they allow you to understand and complete the work of an electrical engineer.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare design documents and drawings, including sketches, diagrams, charts, and schematics.
- Analyze safety issues and potential hazards to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and standards.
- Review blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine feasibility of design.
- Determine electrical needs for construction projects such as hospitals, office buildings, manufacturing plants, or residential communities. Work with contractors or other construction staff during the building phase of a project to ensure that the electrical design is implemented properly.
- Perform calculations and other tasks related to engineering designs and projects. Evaluate contractors’ and vendors’ work and equipment in order to approve project milestones.
