By Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE), Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiative, Islamabad Qualification:
- PhD in Economics, Econometrics, or relevant field from a reputable foreign or national HEC recognized university.
- specialization in Climate Change and Resource Economics. OR
- 18 years of education with relevant specialization.
Experience:
- No experience or publications are required. OR
- 05 years of post-qualification relevant experience and published at least two regular articles in internationally reputed HEC recognized journals.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead and contribute to high-quality, policy-relevant research on climate change and environmental sustainability with a particular focus on adaptation strategies, indigenous knowledge, carbon markets, and air pollution (including smog), and climate agriculture linkages. Produce high-quality research outputs, mentoring students and junior researchers, and actively contributing to policy debates.
- Strategic role in institutional development and sustained engagement with policymakers, ensuring that research outputs align with global academic and research standards.
- Conduct high-quality research in respective specialization areas and contribute to theoretical and applied economics.
- Publish in HEC-recognized, high-impact journals and participate in national and international academic forums.
- Secure research grants and funding from national and international agencies and Engage in multidisciplinary research collaborations with domestic and international institutions.
- Provide expert advice to policymakers, government agencies, and development organizations in relevant fields. Ensure compliance with HEC policies, academic standards, and accreditation requirements.
