- Completion of secondary education from a recognized institution and 2 years Automobile Diploma or Certificate from a recognized Industrial Training Institute.
Experience:
- Minimum of ten years’ experience in the maintenance and repair automobile electrical components & system of a range of industrials vehicles in oil & gas atmosphere. Must be highly skilled auto electrician.
- Demonstrated experience of trouble shooting and repair on a range of heavy vehicles and equipment systems, especially cranes and trucks, including engine rebuild, Fire Truck and equipment, hydraulic systems pneumatic booming a rigging gear.
- Conversant with fault tracing methods in electrical systems mounted in mobile equipment and should be able to read electrical diagrams.
- Experience of using trouble-shooting tools to find problems on vehicle’s electrical systems.
- Should have sound knowledge of hydraulic systems on mobile equipment viz. Cranes, Forklifts and Truck mounted Cranes.
- Good written and oral communication skills in English and Arabic and Must have a valid Qatari Plant and heavy duty-driving license. (i.e. Crane, Loader, Forklift, Trailer, etc.) and Should possesses Third party lifting certificates to perform required functional test on equipment & vehicles.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Carry out the routine maintenance and breakdown repair of the company owned vehicles, Equipment, Fire Vehicles, Ambulances and Lifting Equipment in the workshop, sites and locations.
- Carries out preventive and routine periodic maintenance and repair works as instructed in accordance with the original equipment manufacturer’s recommendations on fleet of equipment.
- Undertake the planned job of repair and maintenance as per instructions and performs duties with good workshop practices.
- Performs regular maintenance checks on mobile equipment and maintains a log of such inspections.
- Checks and collects spare and required tools for carrying out the maintenance schedules on mobile equipment in workshop and or site locations.
- Comply with the company’s environmental and health and safety procedures. Complete the Job Cards.
- Maintain a full history of work undertaken within the maintenance management system.
- Ensure that the equipment and tools used are in good condition.
