Experience:
- 5 – 10 Years Skills: Must be literate in English and possess basic mathematics skills On the job training of Water systems, Compressors operation, Steam plant operation, and how to Perform chemical test. Will take a test on boiler system as part of on the job training
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Operates and serve as a boiler operator in charge of the boiler house on the shifting schedule.
- Concurrently operate 3 boilers, each rated approximately 118 TPH steam flow. Operate, control and adjust manual and automatic controls on the individual boiler control panel to increase or decrease the feed water to boilers for the maintenance of proper and safe water level in the boiler drums. Place boilers in and out of service as per instructed or as necessitated by malfunctioning equipment’s and or fluctuating heating requirement.
- Use manual controls to place in and out of service all auxiliary equipment in proper sequence to start or shutdown the boilers.
- Properly make a recording the operational parameters such as hourly readings on gouges, indicators, totalizers, thermometer on plant log sheets.
- Log sheets compose d of Parameters on Fireside Analysis, Water Side Analysis, Steam Total Consumption& the Steam Turbine and Perform preventive maintenance on equipment associated with the boiler operations.
- Maintain planned maintenance schedules on boiler room equipment check and inspect fire extinguishers and make corrections as required by program outline.
