Medical College, Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi Qualification:
- Master’s degree in Physiology or equivalent
Experience:
- at least six months of formal on the job traineeship on cancer data management principles from a reputed hospital or relevant experience knowledge of data coding, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology awareness of cancer program standards working knowledge of Cancer Registry and other related software.
Roles:
- review abstracts and enter information in Cancer Registry software (CNExT) from medical records (outpatient and inpatient), including all demographic information, diagnostic and staging workup, procedures and treatment as per registry data standards update on a daily-basis the cases with consultation only
- perform follow-up activities, including to send letters to physicians and patients to assess when they were last seen and to call patients
- identify cases of all reportable neoplasm as per criteria defined by the Cancer Committee
- prepare reports and retrieve data of abstracts to assist physicians and researchers as per their needs
