Clinic Nurse-Kuwait

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing. MOH Kuwait Nursing License.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic is preferred

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical records systems.
• Preferred candidate from Kuwait and other GCC regions.                        

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing essential clinical support, preparing, and assessing patients, performing basic medical procedures, and assisting the doctor with daily operations. The role also includes managing medical supplies, maintaining equipment, coordinating medical checks, and handling related administrative tasks. The Nurse must uphold a Kuwait MOH license, and strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• 1- Patient Reception & Clinical Duties: Taking vital signs, preparing the patient for the doctor’s examination and dispensing medications as prescribed by the doctor, including authorized over-the-counter medications. Referring patients to external clinics in the doctor’s absence, providing first aid to patients as needed and coordinating with the transportation department for patient emergencies. Changing simple wound dressings, administering nebulizer treatments to asthma patients as directed by the doctor and performing ECGs as requested by a doctor. Performing blood glucose tests as ordered by a doctor, administering injections upon doctor’s approval. 2- Administrative & Operational Duties: Conducting medication inventories to monitor stock levels and expiry dates.
• Managing clinic supply orders, including submission and receipt. Performing periodic inspections of medical devices and equipment. Managing periodic and pre-employment medical checkups. Processing sick leave documentation and employee return-to-work declarations. Accurately recording information for all medical tests and disbursed supplies.
• 3- Professional Standards & Compliance: Triaging patients based on the severity and position in queue. Adhering to all health, safety, infection control, and drug allergy regulations.
• Maintaining professional hygiene and appearance, including adherence to the nurse’s dress code. Verifying medication expiry dates prior to dispensing. Ensuring the clinic environment is clean, quiet, safe, and conducive to an efficient workflow.
• Not leaving the clinic except when necessary and for the shortest possible time. Comply with Health, Safety and Environment regulations and working practices of KDD and the State of Kuwait when carrying out duties.
