Data Center Technician IT

National Telecommunication & Information Security Board (NTISB)   open merit                                                   Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or similar and In-depth knowledge of data center environments, servers, and network equipment

Experience:

• Minimum 14x years having major in IT equipment handling and installation with relevant certifications will be a plus.
• Minimum of 06-year experience in IT equipment, Infrastructure and system architecture of data center,
• 2-3 years of experience as a data center technician, or similar. CompTIA, Server Plus, CompTIA Network, or CCNP certification would be advantageous.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain data servers and network equipment including monitoring the day-to-day performance of servers, maintaining an optimally controlled environment for servers, and troubleshooting network and server problems.
• Monitor network stability and performance to ensure 24×7 operations and resolving service impacts as they occur. Extensive experience in installing, monitoring, and maintaining data center equipment.
• Exceptional ability to work as part of a team, provide IT support, and resolve errors.
• Ability to keep up with advancements in data center infrastructure and technologies.
• Proficiency in documenting network processes.
• Willingness to respond to network and server errors after hours. Responsible for monitoring/audit server operating systems and hardware.
• Responsible for providing installation (racking) services for all network and server hardware at the data centers per established standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, in adherence to Data Center processes regarding incident tracking, response, and documentation.
• Manage the disaster recovery process including regularly schedule fail over tests
• Provide off-hours Service Desk coverage
