- Master’s degree
Experience:
- 5–7 years of relevant experience, preferably in a healthcare environment. Strong knowledge of cleaning methods, infection control, and occupational health and safety.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse workforce effectively
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement housekeeping policies and standards to ensure hospital-wide cleanliness and hygiene, aligning with infection control and safety protocols.
- Plan, supervise, and monitor daily housekeeping and laundry/boiler/ incinerator operations, ensuring adequate manpower allocation, timely completion of cleaning tasks, and optimal utilization of resources. Conduct regular inspections and audits of patient care areas and support areas to ensure compliance with quality and hygiene benchmarks.
- Oversee hospital waste management processes, ensuring timely, safe, and compliant disposal as per institutional and regulatory requirements. Develop and implement training programs for housekeeping and laundry/boiler/incinerator staff, focusing on cleaning procedures, occupational safety, infection control, and equipment handling.
- Monitor staff performance and discipline, ensuring that all team members meet expected service and behaviour standards.
- Continuously evaluate and improve housekeeping processes, introducing innovations and best practices to enhance service efficiency and quality.
