- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical, mechanical, petroleum or related engineering discipline
Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
- Completion of Mud School is mandatory. Candidates having of experience with Drilling Fluid Contractor will be preferred
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Able to design and maintain optimal drilling fluid systems to specific well conditions in coordination with project drilling engineer and drilling fluid contractor.
- Capable of ensuring alignment of mud properties with operational requirements. Able to adjust mud formulations on real-time well data to address operational challenges.
- Able to provide technical recommendations for maintaining well bore stability and optimizing penetration rates.
- Capable of assessing daily mud reports from well sites and presenting insights to drilling team and management.
- Able to prepare Drilling Mud End of Well Reports and perform material audit of drilling fluid contractor.
- Possess knowledge of solid control equipment, including fluid testing procedures, mud additives, rheology, and well control principles.
- Capable of inspecting well sites for operational supervision.
