By a large private commercial bank in Pakistan, position based in Karachi Maximum age 45 years but relatable in case additional relevant experience Qualification:
- LLB from HEC recognized domestic or reputable foreign university
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant field/legal experience
- Preference will be given to having working experience within legal department of the banks in Pakistan
- Working knowledge of MS Office and have sound knowledge of laws relating to banking and finance
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice/opinion on the corporate, administrative and human resource and vet legal documents and assist in documentation of contracts and agreements
- Assist in and vet investigation and disciplinary matters and inquiries including show cause notices
- Assist higher authorities of the Bank in interpretation of various statutes / laws to help them in framing policies for the Bank as and when required
- Advice on drafting of circulars, directives and documents to be issued by the bank
- Provide assistance in arranging engagement of advocates carefully based on their expertise and negotiate their professional fees according to the relevance and importance of the case
- Vet documents, pleadings, petitions prepared by outside counsel and liaise with them closely during litigation/other court proceeding
- Provide legal services in all litigation related matters pertaining to the bank and advice on banking policy matters vet and advice on legal implications of circulars and guidelines to be issued by the bank
