• Master’s degree or relevant qualification

Experience: 

• 8 to 10 years experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers, patients and employees by establishing and enforcing security protocols to ensure the overall safety and security of the Hospital.
• Ensure implementation of JCI standards related to provision of safe & secure environment to patients, visitors and staff.
• Monitor, assess, develop and implement standards, guidelines, and procedures to ensure up-to-date and effective ongoing activities of security and physical protection responsibilities, i.e. asset protection, workplace violence prevention, access control system, video surveillance & information protection.
• Periodically conduct assessment of Hospital security situation and identify associated threats/risks.
• Develop and implement plans, procedures and material requirement to mitigate emerging threat/risk based on accurate assessment.
• Plan and execute deployment of Security staff on daily basis while ensuring that all vulnerable areas are adequately manned & secured at all times. Undertake regular security rounds of IPDs, OPDs and other hospital areas on daily basis and mitigate issues hampering smooth hospital operations.
• Monitor, through regular & surprise rounds, the staff, patients and visitors at entry & exits points of the hospital.
• Amicably handle & resolve patients, visitors, consultants and staff complaints related to security issues.
• Ensure that no form of violence and aggression, whether physical or verbal occurs and Establish a protocol / SOP for communicating security status, updates and actual or potential problems to higher management on a regular basis.
• Ensure through a set procedure that all incident, inspection, discrepancies etc. are recorded. Develop & maintain liaison with various law enforcement agencies, including local police for timely & swift response in controlling extenuating situations.
• Undertake or assist investigation of theft cases as and when required.
• Oversee functions of CCTV Control Room.
• Supervise and / or conduct security awareness programs for the hospital staff including new employee orientation and other trainings (as and when required). Ensure appropriate deployment of Security staff across Shifa Hospitals and Shifa Hostels and provide security cover during seminars/ official functions.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers, patients and employees by establishing and enforcing security policies and procedures and supervising the security to ensure the overall Safety of the Hospital. Responsible for development & up gradation of organizational Safety and Security Management Plan in relation to the wide ranging contextual risk as per management directives.
• Responsible for the development and implementation of new procedures & plans with regards to safety and loss prevention based on report of incidents, accident and other relevant information.
• Establish, supervise and train teams that respond swiftly to any emergency situation relating to security or safety threat.
