  • Diploma or Degree in any Engineering disciplines or its equivalent.

Experience:

  • Minimum three (3) years working experience in field quality control of construction material and Proven experience as a QA/QC Inspector in the construction industry.
  • Ability to work long hours during urgent work situation

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of construction projects by conducting inspections, tests, and assessments. Responsible for verifying that all construction activities adhere to established standards and procedures, contributing to the delivery of high-quality projects that meet client specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for implementation of QC Plan and IMS procedures.
  • Inspection and Testing: Conduct inspections and quality control checks at various stages of construction to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and industry standards. Make sure of the latest revision of IFC/Approved Shop Drawings with the construction team for execution.
  • Inspect the Site Executions as per the approved ITP, Method Statement and ensure that all the Items on the Checklist verified on site. Review the construction Drawing and scope of work, if required raise RFI for clarification.
  • Verify that materials, equipment, and workmanship meet established quality standards. Inspect all the receiving materials on site based on the approved submittals.
  • Stop the Site Activity if the Works are not carried out as per the Contract requirements or approved Method statements.
  • Issue the Nonconformance Notice to the works against the deficiency and Perform non-destructive testing and inspections using appropriate tools and equipment. Document inspection results, deviations, and non-conformities, and report them to the QA/QC Engineer.
  • Ensure that all the deficiencies are properly recorded, and corrective action taken accordingly.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all inspections, tests, and quality control activities.
  • Take the Work Progress photographs weekly / monthly basis. Facilitate communication with subcontractors for material, shop drawing submissions, and inspection.
  • Generate inspection reports and related documentation, ensuring they are complete, clear, and properly archived.
  • Report all the Nonconformance Notice to Project Manager, QA/QC Engineer, and QA/QC Manager.
  • Record all the Test carried out by the Independent Laboratory on construction materials.
  • Collaborate with the QA/QC Engineer to prepare and submit quality reports to regulatory authorities and clients as required. Track and monitor the status of corrective actions to address identified non-conformities.
  • Compliance and Process Improvement: Ensure that construction activities comply with relevant safety regulations and quality management procedures.
  • Implement the approved QC Plan, Project Control Procedures and IMS procedures as required for the Project site.
  • Ensure that the Charge Hand or Foreman understand the ITP, QCP Requirements. Identify areas for process improvement and provide input to enhance quality control protocols and Conduct inspection of quality equipment and tools, and ensure they are calibrated, maintained, and used correctly.
