Quaid-e-Azam Chair Pak Studies-Hong Kong

By Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training in lieu of the MOU with the University of Hong Kong Baptist University, Hong Kong. Position is open to all serving in the rank of Associate Professors or above on a regular basis in public as well as private universities                                             

Qualification:

• PhD from a HEC recognized university / institution in Urdu Language. Literature, Pak Studies, History, Political Science, IR, International trade or developing economics

Experience:

• Significant post PhD teaching/research experience in a reorganized university / center research organization
• Experience in mentoring, advocacy, communication, organizational (govt. / semi-govt. at senior level)
• A respectable number of publications in the last 5 years in HEC recognized journals

Job Description:

• Familiarity with the culture, institutions and people of the host country and capacity and competence of leadership to project the language, history and culture of Pakistan in the host country
• Research leading to quality publications during the tenure abroad is desirable with proficiency in computer skills and have membership in professional or academic bodies, supported by documentary evidence
• Budget management, research grants, diplomacy, media relations as spokesperson and demonstrated involvement in academic staff associations, etc.
