• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in geophysics, geology or related discipline from a local or foreign institution / university recognized by the Higher Education of Pakistan   

Experience:   

• At least 5 years of hands-on-experience in rock physics interpretation and modelling with an oil and gas company.
• An advanced degree on rock physics modelling would be preferred.                   

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for AVO analysis and seismic inversion applications software such as Interactive Petro-physics (IP), Power log, Rok Doc, Tech log, Petrel, Hampson-Russell with major oil and Gas Company.
• Responsible for delivering E&P projects in quantitative interpretation, using rock physics diagnostic/and modelling and seismic inversion with uncertainty quantification for resource exploration, appraisal and field.
• Able to perform petro-physical analysis, integration with core data, using seismic inversion.
• Capable of effectively collaborate with internal project teams to establish and execute fit-for-purpose seismic QI project workflows within given timelines.
• Able to support and assist geoscientists, reservoir engineers, geo-mechanics to optimize workflows for resource exploration, appraisal and development.
• Capable of supporting seismic interpreters in  QI of amplitude, frequency/or phase anomalies associated with changes, including in porosity, lithology, fluid content.
• Able to support rock physics team to generate pore-pressure prediction and 3D mechanical earth model from geophysical (seismic) data. Capable of deriving anisotropy at different scales, build velocity and structural models by incorporating information from surface seismic, well log data, geologic interpretation and proprietary basin knowledge.
• Capable of performing seismic inversion and amplitude/AVO analysis techniques as well as rock physics modelling software such as Interactive Petrophysics (IP), Power log, Rok Doc, Tech log, Petrel, Hampson-Russell).
