- DAE Civil Engineering
Experience:
- 06 to 08 years of relevant experience and Familiarity with construction project management software and cost databases.
- Strong knowledge of cost management practices, procurement strategies, and construction processes and Proficiency in QS software and tools (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, MS Excel). Familiarity with international standards and practices (e.g., FIDIC etc).
Jobs Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and tender documents based on drawings and specifications.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for proposed civil engineering works (e.g., roads, bridges, drainage, earth works).
- Advise on cost-effective construction methods, materials, and procurement strategies and Manage tendering processes, including preparation of tender documents and analysis of bids.
- Evaluate contractor and subcontractor quotations and negotiate pricing. Prepare and issue contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders. Track project costs and compare actual against budgets.
- Forecast cash flow and prepare financial progress reports for management and clients.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
- Prepare final accounts and reconcile costs upon project completion.
- Compile project documentation for audit and handover purposes.
