Registrar of Neurosurgery-Kuwait

Taiba Hospital, Kuwait                                                                        Qualification: 

• Master Degree in Neurosurgery

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year experience Skills: Good organizational ability and excellent communication skills. Emotional strength.
• Ability to assume greater responsibility in matters of patient care. Ability to deal calmly, with tact, and diplomat to patients and staff alike.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assess patients from the Emergency Department.  
• Report and discuss all unusual findings, complications, or alterations in the management plan, with the Specialists or Consultants and Attend daily ward rounds with the Neuro-Surgery team and Review patients on a regular basis in accordance with the plan of care made by the attending consultant and inform the consultant of any issues or problems.  
• Document reviewed findings in clinical notes in a timely and legible manner. Cover Operating Room duties as assigned.
• Attend to pre and post-operative assignments.
• Discharge patients on consultants’ instructions and write discharge summaries. Respond to any adverse occurrences e.g., injuries, falls, etc…, suffered by patients, visitors, or staff.  
• Assist in covering for unexpected absence.
• Handling unscheduled emergency
