Senior DevOps Engineer-IRD, Karachi

By Integrated Research and Development (IRD), Singapore                Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or other related fields.        

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or cloud infrastructure management.
• Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration. Hands-on experience with VMware, VirtualBox, and virtualization technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management.
• Experience with Apache NiFi or Apache Spark for data pipeline automation. Experience working with distributed datastores and data warehousing solutions such as Mongodb, MySQL, Vertica, ClickHouse, or similar.
• Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline automation.
• Skills: Expertise in configuring and managing Nginx for web hosting and load balancing.
• Solid understanding of cloud computing platforms (local cloud companies like RapidCompute). Expert knowledge of Linux-based operating systems and system-level troubleshooting. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Building and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins. Deploying and orchestrating containerized microservices with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Setting up and maintaining data infrastructure using tools such as Apache NiFi and Spark.
• Automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Ansible and scripting (Bash/Python).
• Monitoring system performance and ensuring high availability using Grafana, Prometheus, and Percona.
• Managing and scaling distributed infrastructure with a focus on fault tolerance and performance.
• Identifying potential and existing performance bottlenecks, and creating and executing mitigation strategies.
• Automating deployments across environments while maintaining reliability and security. Bridging development and operations teams to support fast, stable delivery cycles
