- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in geology
Experience:
- At least 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in the E&P sector.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, generate, and assess risks of hydrocarbon prospects through the integration of geological and geophysical (G&G) and wells data. Possess solid understanding of petro-physical analysis, reservoir characterization, and static models utilizing Petrel suite of Software. Interpret seismic sections across various exploration licenses and prepare time structure maps.
- Prepare structural and stratigraphic cross-sections to support subsurface evaluations. Assess source rock potential across different formations for hydrocarbon generation capability.
- Estimate reserves for identified leads and prospects and demonstrate a basic understanding of petroleum economics.
- Able to prepare well prognosis, logging program, as well as monitor well operation during drilling to ensure planned trajectory is achieved. Possess solid understanding of preparing proposals for G&G studies and coordinating internal or external execution.
- QC the deliverables and apply study findings to new wells in the field.
- Conduct geological fieldwork, including section measurement, sampling of source and reservoir rocks, and geological mapping.
- Contribute proactively to technical proposals, and presentations to the management/partners and obtain requisite approvals.
