- Diploma / B Tech / BE in Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
- Overall 15 years core construction experience in industrial construction (oil & gas / petrochemicals), of which 5 years should be as a Sr piping Manager.
- Familiar with managing large scope of field or shop piping work,
- Familiar with overall sequence of piping material management to pre-commissioning.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor a team of piping engineers, designers, and other professionals.
- Provide guidance, support, and technical expertise to ensure project success. Oversee the development of piping designs, layouts, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and client requirements. Coordinate with construction teams to ensure the proper installation and testing of piping systems.
- Address any issues that may arise during construction.
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to guarantee the integrity and functionality of piping systems.
- Conduct inspections and audits as necessary. Develop and manage project budgets related to piping activities. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding piping-related matters. Provide regular project updates and address any client concerns. Identify potential risks associated with piping projects and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Proactively address issues to prevent delays and cost overruns.
