Senior Research Analyst GIS

The Urban Unit, Planning & Development Board, Govt. of Punjab, Lahore                                                                                    Qualification:

• 16 years of qualification or higher in Geomatics / GIS / Geography / Space Science or related discipline from HEC recognized institution. OR 
• 18 years of qualification or higher in Geomatics / GIS / Geography / Space Science or related discipline from HEC recognized institution. OR
• 16 years of qualification or higher in Geomatics / GIS / Geography / Space Science or related discipline from foreign institution.  

Experience:

• 05 to 07 Years of relevant experience in GIS/RS and Geo-spatial data management OR 
• 04 to 06 Years of relevant experience in GIS/RS and Geo-spatial data management. OR
• Fresh to 01 Years of relevant experience in GIS/RS and Geo-spatial data management                  

Jobs Responsibilities:

• Responsible for quality of all data, gathered from the survey and produced in the Spatial Data Engineering Section. Create and maintain file structures necessary for GIS data storage. Responsible for data storage and its regular backup. Reporting writing of assigned products. GIS Base data development and the data management. Quality Assurance of digitization and Spatial datasets. Designing of maps that describe and interpret findings for the assigned projects.
• Management of spatial databases and maps.
• Analysis, interpretation and maintenance of spatial data and Preparation of daily and weekly progress reports. Report writing and presentation of project activities and findings.
• Mosaicking, geo-referencing and image processing.
• Field data collection its management and analyses.
• Produce spatial data and related products accordance with the set standards.
