For Interactive Research & Development (IRD), Singapore Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Health Informatics, or a related field. Master’s degree will be an advantage
Experience:
- 5 to 7 years of experience working in Health Informatics, with at least 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience with one or more major EMR platforms (e.g., OpenMRS). 10+ years of experience leading EMR implementations or large-scale health information systems will be an advantage. Skills: Proficiency in configuring and customizing EMR systems (e.g., form design, role setup, reporting).
- Strong understanding of health data standards, interoperability protocols (e.g., HL7, FHIR), and data security best practices.
- Familiarity with SQL, APIs, or scripting for troubleshooting or system enhancements. Familiarity with clinical workflows, health program
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- ) Initial Engagement & Preparation: Conduct desk research and review existing documentation to understand the EMR platform(s), implementation context, and program objectives.
- Explore system functionalities via sandbox environments, user guides, and vendor resources.
- b) System Configuration & Customization: Configure EMR modules, forms, and workflows based on specific program requirements. Set up system features such as alerts, clinical decision support tools, dashboards, and reporting modules. Define and implement user roles and access controls aligned with organizational structure and data sensitivity requirements. Lead full-scale deployment efforts, including initial setup and environment configuration where applicable.
- c) System Maintenance & Optimization: Apply regular system updates, security patches, and performance enhancements. Ensure reliable system operations through routine data backups, failover mechanisms, and stability monitoring.
- d) Technical & User Support: Troubleshoot system issues affecting performance, usability, or data quality. Support change management initiatives including software upgrades and transitions between system versions. Provide strategic guidance to ensure effective system utilization and alignment with clinical workflows.
- e) Data Security & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with relevant data protection regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR). Safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of patient data and system information.
- f) Coordination with Program Teams, IT, and Vendors: Act as the primary technical liaison among the program team, EMR vendor(s), and internal IT departments.
- Coordinate technical support requests, track vendor communications, and ensure timely resolution of outstanding issues. Maintain structured, transparent communication across all stakeholders to support alignment and accountability.
- g) Documentation & Reporting: Maintain thorough documentation of all system configurations, updates, and technical activities. Provide audit logs and technical reports as needed, ensuring traceability and compliance.
