Technician Boiler-PPL, Karachi

Pakistan Petroleum Limited, Karachi    Requisition ID 434                 Qualification:     

• First class boiler engineering certification
• 3-year diploma in associate engineering (mechanical or chemical), would be preferred.                             

Experience:   

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in operation of industrial boilers, excluding any apprenticeship period. 
• Hands-on-experience in operating medium and high-pressure boilers and Experience of working on DCS/PLC control systems, process safety, hazard identification and risk control techniques would be an added advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring safe and efficient operation of boilers and associated utilities while adhering to all safety standards and statutory requirement as well as stringent compliance with environmental regulations throughout all operational activities.
• Capable of performing startup and shutdown protocols with operational checks and troubleshooting in close coordination with other plant operations.
• Able to troubleshoot process deviations and handle boiler field emergencies during normal and emergency situations.
• Proficiency in use of diesel engines, instrument air compressors, pumps and power utilities would be preferred.
• Able to maintain relevant documentation and records.
