By United American Management Services, UAE Salary: AED 7,000 to 9,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances. Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC)
Experience:
- Minimum of two years of INPATIENT and IR-DRG coding experience in UAE and demonstrated internal audit experience on inpatient and outpatient claims.
- At least 5 years of experience in medical coding and auditing. Strong understanding of ICD and CPT coding.
- Conduct audits on claims as per applicable criteria / methodology and as per the audit plan
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Review medical records and reports to ensure accuracy and completeness of data, coding compliance, and regulatory requirements. Analyze and interpret clinical information to assign accurate codes according to International Classification of Diseases (ICD) and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) guidelines. Monitor coding accuracy and compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.
- Research medical coding issues and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Respond to inquiries regarding coding related questions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and regulations and Generate clear, accurate and meaningful reports with reference to applicable criteria.
- Educate the coders on the errors reviewed.
- Ability to train the health professionals for clinical documentation improvement.
- Collect evidences for the identified non-conformities and additional evidences where required
