Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration. 

Experience:

  • 5 to 9 years of experience with minimum 5 years as Procurement Manager or Manager in the Catering –
  • Food service industry / Hospitality.
  • Excellent negotiator, tenacious and results driven with a track record of developing and delivering purchasing goals and Fully conversant with all Microsoft applications, including Office 365

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Manage supplier’s relationship: price negotiation, planning, inventory & quality control.
  • Negotiate contracts to achieve best value.
  • Plans, organize, direct and controls activities related to the procurement function by implementing strategies and forecast procurement needs.
  • Achieve raw material cost reduction targets as agreed with the business and Undertake value for money reviews of existing contracts and arrangements.
  • Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities. Ensure suppliers are aware of business objectives. Organizes, coordinate, supervises, and directs the work of the team engaged in requesting, delivering and receiving of supplies and equipment.
  • Analyses market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and prepares market analysis reports. Develop effective risk management strategies for key suppliers and key products to keep the minimum stock available all times in all projects. Develops a system to evaluate vendor quotations that utilizes appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery and service including after sales service, warranties and DLP. Designs, implements, manage, and monitor procurement reporting systems to meet higher. Management requirements.
  • Recruits and maintains suppliers that provide high quality products and services at a better price. 
  • Prepares and reviews contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price, and acceptability of items to specifications.
  • Manage preparation and issuance of purchase orders after reviews of PR’s and contracts for conformance to company policy. Oversees all activities related to procurement of catering projects, from intent to purchase through delivery of goods and equipment. Assigns procurement requests to the appropriate personnel. Negotiates or supervises the negotiation of complex requests for equipment, supplies, and services from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Monitor warehouses and stores ensuring availability of inventories as per project volume and contractual obligations and arranges for synergies of surplus materials between stores.
  • Manage vendor relationships and assist in building effective partnerships. Liaise with Finance, Treasury, accounts payable to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices, as necessary for the business with the supplier. Develop sourcing strategies for different categories of spend and deliver cost savings and improved operational performance
