Medical College, Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi   Qualification:

• PhD or MSc in Epidemiology & Biostatistics, OR
• PhD or MSc in Statistics or Biostatistics with relevant experience in any relevant academic,                 

Experience:

• Any relevant academic, industry work experience in epidemiology and /or statistics
• Experience with clinical research in healthcare setting would be an added advantage.   

Jobs Description:

• Apply theory and concepts to demonstrate systems and causal thinking using theory and concepts applied to data collection, analysis, interpretation, and evidence-based reasoning and appropriately analyze data and employ research methods using theoretical and conceptual frameworks from epidemiology and biostatistics, including study design, implementation, analysis, and results interpretation.
• evidence subject matter expertise and integration of biostatistics and epidemiological principles for problem-solving in public health.
• proficiency with designing and executing health research projects to demonstrate acumen in applied epidemiology. proficiency with data analysis software such as SPSS, STATA and R.
• proficiency with Microsoft office and familiarity with Redcap and providing consultation and expertise in study designs, developing data collection tools, analyzing data. Complex analysis including hierarchical modelling and multilevel modelling.  collaborating with scientists and health care experts to develop models and deliver projects, and research efforts using statistical, data mining, machine learning, and/or deep learning techniques. collecting, manipulating, and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources and present insights using different tools. training of faculty and residents and fellows in basics of statistics and epidemiology. 
• taking a lead on writing different grant applications for the dept. as well as familiarity with grant management processes and proper execution of grants
