Experience:

  • (18) years’ experience including 5-8 years’ of managerial experience at policymaking level OR
  • 14 years’ professional experience including 5-8 years of managerial / administrative experience at policymaking level. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated expertise/experience in designing/ planning/implementing energy sector reforms & management. Demonstrated expertise in designing and delivering technical policies and interventions. Understanding and experience of working with digital economy and designing digital infrastructure.
  • Policy recommendations to ensure energy security for Pakistan.
  • Supervise research studies to draft sustainable energy development strategies to address Pakistan’s energy needs. Draft annual plans and goals for energy development and analyze the issues such as technology innovation, construction, and energy conservation.  Review, monitor and evaluate progress on major energy projects. Analyze and craft energy development policies, regulations, and standards while considering the impact of pricing, trade, foreign investment, and consumption policies on the balance of supply and demand for energy. Coordinate Pakistan’s international energy cooperation and develop policies to utilize natural resources of energy to the maximum.
  • Provide advice to government agencies regarding energy production and development. Preparation of implementation plan for annual development projects and five year plans
