• Masters/equivalent Degree (16 years) in Art, History, Archaeology or equivalent from HEC recognized institution

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the operations of museum, including research works and development of collections. Should have at least Two (02) research catalogue on coins. Must have a thorough knowledge of different scripts such as, Greek, Devanagari and Kharosthi etc will be preferable.

Jobs Description:

• Tracing the provenance of objects in the Museum. Authenticating, evaluating and categorizing objects.
• Prepare index cards of coins/stamps/currency etc. Cataloguing of coins with its complete history like ruler, mint, legend, series, monograph and context. Investigate Technical Analysis of each coin like weighing, thickness, diameter and metal.
• Provide authentication and verification to artifacts from studying different coins catalogues.
• Develop descriptive labels of selected antiquities to be displayed in the Museum. Apart from cataloguing and indexing of coins, will trace the missing links of different dynasties to maintain chronological sequence in the history of coins, stamps, currency etc.
• Responsible for reserve management including space planning and proper housing creating long-term preservation of artifacts.
• Maintain the accepted national standards at the time of acquisition and processing of archival materials.
• Design, visualize informative labels and interesting exhibits and Supervise the treatment of diseased/mold growth/fungus of rare coins
