  • BSc in chemistry from recognized university .

Experience:

  • At least (15) years’ experience in modern steam power stations. In depth technical capability and capacity to specify, analyses and comment about power station chemical laboratory, chemical analysis, controlling of all power station operation and interpretation of analytical results according to the required specification for power and desalination plants.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Testing for power generation and water desalination to provide a wide-range of accredited power generation inspection capabilities for fast, reliable answers including: .CHEMICAL ANALYSIS INSPECTION: Analyzing metals, ores, ferro-alloys, ceramics and nonmetallic samples to determine if they meet detrimental material limits. Positive Material Identification (PMI). Spectroscopy (ICP-AES, ICP-MS, AES), SEM/EDS, Fouier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). Carbon / Sulfur / Nitrogen / Oxygen / Hydrogen Determination, Wet Chemistry.
  • CORROSION TESTING: ASTM A262 Practice A, B, C, D, E, ASTM G28 Methods A & B, ASTM G48 Methods A & B, ASTM A923 Method C, Salt Spray / Salt Fog, Humidity Testing, Passivation Testing and Temperature Testing.
  • METALLURGICAL ANALYSIS: Micro hardness (Knoop & Vickers), Grain Size (ASTM E112), Inclusion Rating (ASTM E45), Plating Thickness Carbide Precipitation, Ferrite by Point Count (ASTM E562), Inter granular Attack / Oxidation, Alpha Case, Inter granular Corrosion (ASTM A262), Sensitization, Surface Contamination, Nodularity / Nodule Count, Eutectic Melting and Carburization / Decarburization
