Brunel, Kuwait Qualification:
- Graduate mechanical engineer with professional qualification
Experience:
- 10 years’ experience in power boiler engineering with boiler manufacturer, utility or inspection authority.
- 5 Years as Practitioner in power boiler and high energy pipework life management.
- Working Knowledge of power boiler, high energy pipework and pressure vessel design and construction, boiler water chemistry, combustion, gas side corrosion, welding & NDE.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Visual inspection soot blower piping & supports for any deformation or damage as and when required.
- Visual inspection of exhaust system – silencer perforated plates, blankets etc. as and when necessary.
- General visual inspection of fuel oil and water storage tanks. General visual inspection of boiler air & gas ducts and chimney ducts as and when required.
- Rotary air pre heater visual inspection as and when required. Hydrostatic test of boiler.
- Calibration of pressure gauge during hydrostatic test. Auditing of contractor/vendor quality systems.
- Review of quality plans of contractor/vendor.
- Support client in formation & monitoring of maintenance planning and execution.
- Support client in procurement & inspection of spare parts. Support client developing and optimizing preventive maintenance strategy and standard maintenance procedures.
- Condition based monitoring of critical equipment.
